Lysaght | Land Development, Civil Engineering & Planning
Lysaght are professionally licensed surveyors, planners and civil engineers. From that first site visit through to design, consenting, construction monitoring and subdivision completion, Lysaght covers the full land development process. Development Manager Andrew Fahey now leads a close-knit team of 6 from their Panama Square space, backed by the established resources of their 30-strong Tauranga office. This gives them a foot on the ground to facilitate their involvement in many of the regions developing subdivisions among other Waikato-based projects.

“It’s about finding the balance between building local relationships and leveraging the capacity of our wider team,” Andrew says. Panama’s diverse network and flexible office solutions have been the perfect place for their Hamilton team to grow.
What makes Lysaght different to others?
We’re hands-on, agile, and genuinely invested in the places we help create. We want to live in the kinds of neighbourhoods we design, and we’re proud to point to projects and say: We did that.
What is one way Lysaght celebrates worklife balance?
Twice a week, our staff can extend their lunch break by 30 minutes with wellness in mind. It’s not just good for fitness; it could be anything. But it’s a real productivity boost. I myself now enjoy a midday gym session which I never thought I would. It clears the head and you come back sharper.
Favourite spot for lunch time run then?
The river trail, so handy to Panama Square!
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Communicating with people, both internally and externally.
Biggest challenge in your work right now?
Our clients' ability to make developments stack up. Hopefully things will stack up more and more as the year progresses.
Most-used phrase in the office?
Be the solution, not the problem.
